Baseball Recap: Dansville Has No Trouble Against Avon

After only two runs in their last matchup, Dansville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Avon on Monday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Braves. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Logan Kendall, who gave up just two hits to keep Avon off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carson Mays, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Dawsyn Mistretta, who went 1-for-3 with three runs.

Dansville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The win snapped Dansville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record. As for Avon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season.

Dansville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Avon, they will challenge Pavilion at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
