With a playoff win on the line, Porter Ridge rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Cuthbertson Cavaliers by a score of 26-16. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

It was another big night for Rai'Shawn Elmore, who rushed for 95 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 69 receiving yards and one score. Arthur Scott IV was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Porter Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 256 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Despite the loss, Cuthbertson still got an impressive performance from Mason Iovino, who rushed for 169 yards. Iovino's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 141 rushing yards.

Porter Ridge's record is now 7-4. As for Cuthbertson, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Porter Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 48-43 defeat against Richmond Senior on the 14th. Cuthbertson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
