Basketball Game Preview: Harrison Hornets vs. Chippewa Hills Warriors

The Harrison Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Chippewa Hills Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrison is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Harrison lost to Bullock Creek on the road by a 68-51 margin.

Meanwhile, Chippewa Hills came up short against Ithaca on Tuesday, falling 53-31. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 619th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 148th).

Chippewa Hills has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Harrison didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Chippewa Hills in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harrison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
