Basketball Game Preview: Idaho City Wildcats vs. Riverstone International Otters

Having just played yesterday, the Idaho City Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Riverstone International Otters at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Idaho City is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Garden Valley on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Idaho City was dealt a 69-30 defeat at the hands of Garden Valley. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.

Meanwhile, Riverstone International was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Compass Charter.

Riverstone International now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Idaho City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Idaho City took their win against Riverstone International in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 55-34. Does Idaho City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverstone International turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
