Basketball Recap: Millbrook Comes Up Short

Millbrook had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-7 to make it 12. They lost 52-28 to the Spackenkill Spartans. If the Blazers were looking for revenge after losing 55-25 to the Spartans when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Spackenkill, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4. That 24-point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

It was another big night for Kyrie Thomas, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 17 rebounds. Those 24 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Finn, who posted ten points.

Millbrook didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-15 defeat against New Paltz on the 4th. As for Spackenkill, they will challenge Saugerties at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
