Baseball Game Preview: Everett Vikings vs. Waverly Warriors

The Everett Vikings will challenge the Waverly Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses dating back to last season for Everett and ten for Waverly dating back to last season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Everett's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 21-0 to Okemos, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Everett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Fundunburks, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Meanwhile, Waverly lost 7-1 to East Lansing on Monday.

Everett's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Waverly, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.

Everett suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Waverly in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
