Bartlett extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They came up short against the Service Cougars, falling 14-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Golden Bears' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Service, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Service's part, Kegan Lennox looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Lennox a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gideon Lesslie, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Ryker Shreck was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Looking ahead, Bartlett will venture away from home to square off against Chugiak at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Service, they will face off against Colony at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
