Softball Recap: Millard Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Millard was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Duchesne, falling 18-2. Millard hasn't had much luck with Duchesne recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Millard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Berkley Stephens, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Millard's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Duchesne, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millard will welcome North Summit at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Duchesne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gunnison Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.24 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
