Softball Recap: Legacy Takes a Loss

Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Torrance Tartars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Legacy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Medina, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. Adamary Leon also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Legacy now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Torrance, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Legacy and Torrance should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 332nd) will meet South East (ranked 754th) at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Torrance will square off against Vasquez at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (51 vs. 576).
