Softball Recap: Julian Takes a Loss

Julian and Calipatria squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Julian had to settle for second. They lost 18-2 to the Hornets. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Julian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Bennett, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Bennett has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Another was Charlee Sparks, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Julian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Calipatria, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-10.

As of now, neither Julian nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
