Softball Recap: Unity Reed Comes Up Short

Unity Reed was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 22-3 to the Handley Judges.

Unity Reed's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Handley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Unity Reed will take on Osbourn Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 13.8 runs per game this season. As for Handley, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on April 6.
