Baseball Recap: Greenville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Greenville owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Prairie Eagles, sneaking past 2-0. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by exactly two runs.

The win (which was Greenville's third in a row) raised their record to 18-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for East Prairie, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7.

Looking ahead, Greenville will host Scott City at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Bears have won three straight at home, while the Rams won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. East Prairie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
