Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Cavaliers vs. Tea Titans

The Jefferson Cavaliers will challenge the Tea Titans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Jefferson lost to Mitchell on the road by a 66-49 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Kernels are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Tea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 67-52 to West Central.

Jefferson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Tea, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Jefferson was able to grind out a solid win over Tea when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 65-52. Does Jefferson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tea turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
