Softball Game Preview: Wagner Falcons vs. Roosevelt Cougars

After both having extra time off, the Wagner Falcons and the Roosevelt Cougars will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wagner has three straight wins, Roosevelt has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Thursday, Wagner made easy work of Grand Street Campus and carried off a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt lost 20-6 to Dewey last Wednesday.

Wagner's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.4 runs this season. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
