Basketball Game Preview: Branchville Yellow Jackets vs. Edisto Cougars

The Branchville Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to challenge the Edisto Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Branchville is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Branchville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They breezed past Woodland to the tune of 66-39 on Wednesday. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for the Yellow Jackets this season.

Zion Clark was his usual excellent self, putting up 15 steals. Clark is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Javon Williams, who posted 16 points.

Edisto kicked off their season on the road two weeks ago and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Branchville.

Branchville's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Edisto, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Branchville was able to grind out a solid victory over Edisto in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 44-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
