Baseball Recap: Jenkintown Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Jenkintown's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Bristol Warriors on Monday. The Drakes have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Jenkintown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Bruno, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. That stolen base marked the first that Bruno has snagged this season.

Jenkintown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Bristol, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Jenkintown will challenge High Point Baptist Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Drakes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Bristol, they will face off against Brandywine Heights Area at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
