Volleyball Game Preview: Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers vs. Ardrey Kell Knights

The Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers are taking a road trip to square off against the Ardrey Kell Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Legion Collegiate Academy came up short against Marvin Ridge and fell 3-1. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Legion Collegiate Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Marvin Ridge work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 29-27, 22-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Ardrey Kell faced Weddington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Warriors. The contest marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ardrey Kell started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-13.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ardrey Kell fell to 9-1. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-2.
