Basketball Recap: Sheridan Wins Going Away Against River View

Sheridan lost to River View back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Sheridan Generals blew past the River View Black Bears 63-38. The Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, River View still got an impressive performance from Cael Summers, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points. Summers is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Layton Massie, who posted four points and five rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Sheridan and bumps their season record up to 7-6. As for River View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sheridan has already played their next match (against Meadowbrook), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. River View will welcome Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. River View is facing Cristo Rey at the right time seeing as Cristo Rey is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
