Softball Recap: Beyer Comes Up Short

Beyer lost to Lathrop back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Patriots fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 4-3. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alanna Verges made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Beyer's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Lathrop, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season.

Beyer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lathrop, they will head out to square off against Grace Davis at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
