Baseball Game Preview: Killian Cougars vs. Pine Crest Panthers

For the second straight game, Killian will face off against Pine Crest. The Cougars will face off against the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Killian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They skirted past Pine Crest 8-7.

Jahdon Heron was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Killian's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 2-1 (and 11-12 when he doesn't). Jonathan Acosta was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.

Killian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Pine Crest's loss dropped their record down to 15-7-2. As for Killian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-13.
