Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Canterbury Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Canterbury lost against Elkhart Christian Academy back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Fort Wayne Canterbury sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 15-7.

Despite the loss, Fort Wayne Canterbury still got an impressive performance from Caroline Hirschy, who had 15 digs and two aces. Hirschy is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Among those leading the charge was Kiara Trovatore, who had 25 assists and four aces. Addy Trovatore was another key player, getting ten digs.

Fort Wayne Canterbury's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-11.

Looking ahead, Fort Wayne Canterbury will welcome Fort Wayne Wayne at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they will head out to square off against Glenn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
