Football Game Preview: Mountain Valley Wolves vs. Primero Bulldogs

The Mountain Valley Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Primero Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Saturday, Mountain Valley had to suffer through a 48-7 loss at the hands of Bethune. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 45-8, which was the final score in Primero's tilt against Sierra Grande on Friday. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Primero's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Mountain Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Mountain Valley took a serious blow against Primero when the teams last played back in October of 2023, falling 80-52. Thankfully for the Wolves, Brett Kendall (who rushed for 261 yards and seven scores on only 11 carries, and also picked up 95 receiving yards and a pair of TDs) won't be suiting up this time.
