Recap: Enterprise Hornets vs. Shasta Wolves

The Enterprise Hornets and the Shasta Wolves squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Enterprise Hornets had to settle for second. Enterprise took a 17-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shasta. Enterprise just can't catch a break and has now endured seven defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Enterprise lost, one person who can't be blamed is JJ Johnson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Owen Boesiger was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 41 receiving yards. Ryder May and his 82 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Shasta's win.

Enterprise bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-3 Pleasant Valley and 7-4 Redwood (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.3% over those games). As for Shasta, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Enterprise does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shasta will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Pleasant Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
