Soccer Game Preview: Bellville vs. New Waverly

The Bellville Brahmas will venture away from home to challenge the New Waverly Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellville will be strutting in after a victory while New Waverly will be coming in after a defeat.

Bellville took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Harmony School of Innovation as Bellville made off with a 4-1 win. With the Brahmas ahead 4-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, New Waverly was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 10-0 to Royal. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 548th, while the Falcons are ranked 170th).

New Waverly has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. With the victory, Bellville broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-13.

Bellville might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from New Waverly in their previous meeting back in February. Can Bellville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
