Softball Recap: Princeton Takes a Loss

Princeton lost against Van Alstyne back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Princeton came up short against Van Alstyne, falling 14-3. Princeton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kamryn Proctor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Van Alstyne, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Princeton Panthers face off against McKinney Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Princeton has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Van Alstyne has already played their next game (against Caddo Mills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
