Preview: Marshall Academy Griffons vs. St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers
Marshall Academy has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will square off against the St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Marshall Academy got the win against Factoryville Christian by a conclusive 65-40.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marshall Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Patterson, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Delray White was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Philip Catholic Central didn't have too much trouble with Colon at home last Friday as they won 57-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Philip Catholic Central.
The victory got Marshall Academy back to even at 1-1. As for St. Philip Catholic Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Marshall Academy skirted past St. Philip Catholic Central 62-59 in their previous meeting back in March of 2018. Will Marshall Academy repeat their success, or does St. Philip Catholic Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
