Football Recap: Union Local Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against John F. Kennedy Catholic last Friday, Union Local came back down to earth. The Jets took a 25-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 296th in Ohio, while the Maroon Knights are ranked 24th in West Virginia).

Kade Koroneos went supernova For Wheeling Central Catholic., picking up 120 receiving yards and six scores, while also rushing for 68 yards and six touchdowns. Those six rushing touchdowns gave Koroneos a new career-high.

Union Local's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union Local will head out to take on Indian Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Fort Frye at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
