Baseball Recap: Dulaney Lions vs. Hereford Bulls
Dulaney lost against Hereford back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulls. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dulaney got a good showing from Connor Dow, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Dow has allowed since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Drew Ranck made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Matt Stolz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Dulaney's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Hereford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Dulaney will head out on the road to challenge Loyola Blakefield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hereford, they will challenge Towson on Monday.
