Recap: Shenendehowa Plainsmen vs. Carmel Rams
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, the Shenendehowa Plainsmen couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. The match between the Plainsmen and the Rams wasn't particularly close, with the Plainsmen falling 28-14. Shenendehowa has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Michael Whatley threw for 204 yards and a touchdown. Luke Mcauliffe was his top target, picking up 101 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Tristan Cash Werlau continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carmel, rushing for 192 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Cash Werlau really tore up the turf during one magnificent 96-yard run.
Shenendehowa's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Carmel, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Shenendehowa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carmel is on the road again on Saturday and play against Christian Brothers Academy at 6:00 p.m. on November 25th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Christian Brothers Academy: 9.3, Carmel: 15.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
