Baseball Recap: Rampart Comes Up Short

Rampart lost against Doherty on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams came up short against the Spartans, falling 15-4. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rampart saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Martin, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. That run was Martin's first of the season.

Rampart's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Doherty, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Rampart will take on Fountain-Fort Carson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Doherty, they will venture away from home to take on Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
