Soccer Game Preview: Friendship Christian vs. Crossroads Christian

The Friendship Christian Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Crossroads Christian Colts at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Friendship Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Friendship Christian is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Thales Academy Apex last Tuesday. The Falcons fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0.

Despite a strong season so far, Crossroads Christian has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 8-2 to Southside Christian on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Crossroads Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Southside Christian are ranked 73rd).

Friendship Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Crossroads Christian, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 8-3.

Friendship Christian took their victory against Crossroads Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2016 by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
