Baseball Game Preview: Parkway North Vikings vs. Clayton Greyhounds

For the second straight game, Parkway North will face off against Clayton. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Greyhounds at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Parkway North hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Tuesday, Parkway North came up short against Clayton and fell 6-1.

For Clayton's part, Max Oh looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Oh has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Andrew Kuhlman and Braxton Corner did most of the damage at the plate: Kuhlman went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base, while Corner earned two runs and three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave Corner a new career-high.

Clayton pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Parkway North, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17-1.
