Baseball Game Preview: King Vikings vs. Harvey Cavaliers

The King Vikings will take on the Harvey Cavaliers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. King has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 26.

On Thursday, King didn't have quite enough to beat Rye Country Day and fell 6-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, Harvey was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 8-2 to Rye Country Day.

Harvey saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca Marano, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Marano has hit this season. Liam Tarpey was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

King's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Harvey, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything went King's way against Harvey in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as King made off with a 9-1 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
