Football Game Preview: Union Hill Bulldogs vs. Saint Jo Panthers

The Union Hill Bulldogs will face off against the Saint Jo Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Saint Jo's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Union Hill hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. The Bulldogs blew past Savoy 62-0 on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

It was another big night for Ej Mowery, who rushed for 31 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 71 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Union Hill's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Harlee Burns got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Saint Jo was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Campbell 70-20. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly 50 points.

Union Hill's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Saint Jo, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Union Hill was able to grind out a solid win over Saint Jo when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 40-32. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
