Baseball Recap: Maritime Academy Charter Takes a Loss

After flying high against Swenson Arts & Tech last Wednesday, Maritime Academy Charter came back down to earth. Maritime Academy Charter fell just short of the Olney Trojans by a score of 10-9 on Friday. The Seadogs lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in May of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 30-0 score last time.

Jadin Aviles was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.

Maritime Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Olney, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maritime Academy Charter will face off against South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Maritime Academy Charter is facing South Philadelphia at the right time seeing as South Philadelphia is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Olney, they will take on String Theory at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday.
