Basketball Recap: Macon Triumphs

Macon lost to North Callaway back in November, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Macon Tigers escaped with a win against the North Callaway Thunderbirds by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

North Callaway lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kymorie Myers, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 16 points along with seven boards and four steals. Those 16 points gave Myers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Shryock, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 16 points.

Macon's record now sits at 3-4. As for North Callaway, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Macon will venture away from home to take on Chillicothe at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Callaway, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Van-Far at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
