Naperville Central suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Naperville Central Redhawks vs. Waubonsie Valley Warriors

The Naperville Central Redhawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Waubonsie Valley 66-30. Naperville Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.

Waubonsie Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danyella Mporokoso led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Mporokoso's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Laub, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.

Naperville Central bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Waubonsie Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Naperville Central will take on Phillips at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Waubonsie Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Butler at 4:15 p.m. on December 2nd. Butler is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
