Baseball Game Preview: Roosevelt Mustangs vs. King Wolves

The Roosevelt Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the King Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Roosevelt is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for Roosevelt after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Corona, falling 21-6.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, King didn't have enough. They fell 11-6 to Centennial on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

King saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Chavez, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Eli Lipson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

King now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.

Roosevelt came out on top in a nail-biter against King when the teams last played back in March of 2025, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
