Volleyball Recap: Erie-Prophetstown Panthers vs. Rock Falls Rockets

Erie-Prophetstown had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Rock Falls Rockets on Thursday. The Panthers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Erie-Prophetstown easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21.

Ashlyn Johnson paced Erie-Prophetstown's offense, picking up 11 kills. Johnson got some help from Kaylee Keegan and her 25 assists.

Erie-Prophetstown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 31-3-2 record this season. As for Rock Falls, they moved to 18-18 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Erie-Prophetstown will face off against Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seneca will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Erie-Prophetstown surely won't give up without a fight. Rock Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
