The Ambrose School found their leader in sophomore Zane Gammon, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gammon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Mathis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards.
The Ambrose School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.
Wendell got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They enjoyed a cozy 67-48 victory over Aberdeen on Friday.
The Ambrose School better keep an eye on Jordon Swainston. He was instrumental in Wendell's win, going 7 of 9 on his way to 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Jarrett Borges was another key player, going 6 for 11 en route to 17 points and six boards.
The Ambrose School has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
