Recap: Organ Mountain Knights vs. Gadsden Panthers
The Organ Mountain Knights entered their tilt with the Gadsden Panthers with 18 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 19. Organ Mountain really took it to Gadsden for the full four quarters, racking up a 81-51 win on the road. Organ Mountain has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 25 points or more this season.
Leading Organ Mountain to victory were Brandon Kehres and YehNhi Wilson. Kehres dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Wilson scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Ray Venegas was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Organ Mountain pushed their record up to 20-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Gadsden, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Organ Mountain will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Alamogordo at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Organ Mountain's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games. As for Gadsden, they will head out on the road to take on Las Cruces at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Cruces has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
