Soccer Recap: West Marion Takes a Loss

West Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Perry Central Bulldogs an easy 6-0 victory. The shutout was out of character for the Trojans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November.

West Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Perry Central, the win snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 1-9 record.

West Marion will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Forrest at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. West Marion is facing North Forrest at the right time seeing as North Forrest is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Perry Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 9-0 loss against Loyd Star on the 19th.
