Volleyball Recap: Ravenna Comes Up Short

Ravenna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Southeast Pirates. The Ravens were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Ravenna took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 27-25.

Jalysia Thompson paced Ravenna's offense, picking up four kills. Thompson got some help from Kinsey Dunch and her four assists. Dunch was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Ravenna's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Southeast, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Ravenna didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Springfield on the 30th. As for Southeast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Lake Center Christian on the 29th.
