Basketball Recap: Salem Sayers Baptist Academy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Salem Sayers Baptist Academy extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Guy Crow. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy took down the Town East Christian Eagles 67-49 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Crow, who shot 9-for-15 from long range and dropped a double-double with 39 points and 12 rebounds. He also grabbed three steals, which is notable because Salem Sayers Baptist Academy is undefeated when he posts at least three steals, but 1-4 otherwise.

David Jorgensen was another key player, putting up eight points along with six assists and four steals. Jorgensen is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Town East Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gideon P, who posted 18 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ben H, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Salem Sayers Baptist Academy now has a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem Sayers Baptist Academy will take on Gloria Deo Academy in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Town East Christian, they will challenge Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
