Basketball Recap: Campbellsville Comes Up Short

Campbellsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a 55-41 bruising from the Somerset Briar Jumpers. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Briar Jumpers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Campbellsville still got an impressive performance from Keaton Hord, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanigan Price, who posted eight points.

Campbellsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Somerset, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Looking ahead, Campbellsville will head out on the road to take on Meade County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Somerset, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-49 win against Metcalfe County on the 18th.
