Football Recap: Palmdale Falcons vs. Hesperia Scorpions

Palmdale kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hesperia Scorpions. Despite 80 more yards than the Scorpions, the Falcons couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua Suarez, who threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Palmdale's leading receiver Zason Walker was Suarez's top target yet again, picking up 190 receiving yards and one TD.

Zamar Malveaux had a dynamite game For Hesperia., rushing for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries. Malveaux was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Xzavier Murgo got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Palmdale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 61-0 defeat against Leuzinger on the 29th. As for Hesperia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 35-7 victory against Jurupa Hills on the 29th.
