Tamaqua came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-2 to the Pine Grove Cardinals. The defeat continues a trend for Tamaqua in their meetings with Pine Grove: they've now lost five in a row.

Tamaqua now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pine Grove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Tamaqua will take on Shenandoah Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Pine Grove, they will square off against North Schuylkill at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
