Softball Recap: Wesley Chapel Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wesley Chapel came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Sickles Gryphons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Jazmin Hill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Taylor Ramsey was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Aly O'Dette was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Wesley Chapel pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Sickles, their record is now 9-16.

As of now, neither Wesley Chapel nor the Gryphons have any future games scheduled.
