Soccer Game Preview: Yorkville vs. Plainfield North

Yorkville hasn't had much luck against Plainfield North recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Foxes will venture away from home to challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Yorkville and Oswego East, and Oswego East kept the tradition alive. The Foxes fell 3-1 to Wolves on Thursday.

Yorkville's goal came courtesy of Alex Arriaga, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Plainfield North came up short against Minooka on Thursday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Plainfield North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Minooka are ranked ninth).

Plainfield North now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Yorkville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10-1.
