Baseball Recap: St. Anthony Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

St. Anthony won against Bellflower on Saturday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Saints came out on top against the Oxford Academy Patriots by a score of 7-3. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Jason Glenn was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Nick Galluccio was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.

St. Anthony kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

St. Anthony pushed their record up to 17-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oxford Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-16-1.

As of now, neither St. Anthony nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
